My greatest reward is improving my patient’s dental health and appearance whilst relieving their fears and anxiety around treatment. I am strongly committed to quality dental care and patient comfort.
With the progressive advances in dental technologies and techniques I regularly attend continuing education and hands-on courses to improve my skills, offering my patients the most current treatment options available.
I take time to explain and demystify treatment plans giving my patients a comprehensive understanding of what is required for their specific needs.
My personal areas of interest include restorative dentistry, root canal therapy and cosmetic dentistry.
I graduated from the University of Witwatersrand, South Africa, in 1985. I then completed 2 years of military service in the S.A. Medical Corps where I gained invaluable experience in oral surgery and reconstructive dentistry. I then returned to Witwatersrand Dental School where I lectured and tutored students in emergency and conservative dentistry. During this period I also completed my American National Dental Board exams. I went into private practice for 15 years in Cape Town before immigrating to New Zealand in 2002.
I enjoy living in the Bay with my family and being part of the Tauranga community. I love the outdoors, surfing, kayaking, tramping and collect music and enjoy reading.
